Born 1960 in Starnberg
Studied at Kassel Polytechnic in the field of industrial design, qualified as graduate designer specialising in furniture and interior fittings under Professor Hans Ell.
Began working as independent contractor in 1990, as the same time as an independent lecturer at the Kassel Academy for Construction and Design. Has been living and working in Frankfurt am Main since 1993.

“Furniture is first and foremost a customer product, nothing more than tools for a more pleasant life. The development towards us spending ever more time being seated, even though nature never intended us to do so, places ever more demands on us. I try to achieve improved mobility and comfort with more functionality, while not putting the traditional image of a seat into question.“
